Amalea Tshilds is a songwriter and singer from Chicago, IL. She is a founding member of the alt-country groups Girls of the Golden West and Paulina Hollers. She has two solo records: In 2006 Painted Tiles came out with an all star cast of collaborating Chicago musicians. In her latest record, Love on the Ground, released in February of 2020, her unique voice and dreamlike orchestrations explore complex roots in folk and choir. Backed by Chicago favorites Joseph Adamik, Elise Bergman, Gillian Lisee, and Sam Wagster, Love on the Ground presents nine mystical love songs for impossible times.
